Transfer Rumours : Hatem Ben Arfa deal NOT done yet

Submitted by Duck on Mon, 05/12/2008 - 12:05.

Last week Arsene Wenger reassured fans that he will be bringing in a strong central defender and a creative player. Not long after that, several transfer rumours came up with names of Nico Kranjcar, Hatem Ben Arfa and some even suggested Samir Nasri.

Not surprising, all of the reports came up with each of those players are worth £15 mil since its linked to Arsenal. You have to wonder that £15 mil is now a normal price tag?

Anyway, back to Ben Arfa, I highly doubt the deal is done because of his recent comment L'
Equipe:

“I do not pay attention to this. If I had to pay attention to everything that is in the papers…

“That is true that we have spoken about Arsenal, but we will see how it is going to happen.

“If I stay at Lyon, it is to play. Wherever I go, it will be to play.

“The season is not over yet, two games are remaining [one in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France final].

“Today I am at Lyon. We will see what tomorrow is made of.

“I try to give my maximum and to give everything when I am on the pitch.

“It is frustrating when I am on the bench but it is part of the job.”

I like this guy though, he is professional and will concentrate on his remaining two games before even talk about his transfer deal. Here, we all know that Arsenal has definitely made contact and there is a high possibility that he may come. Keep your fingers cross that no club come in and offer double what we’re going to pay for him.
